What to expect..

Assessment of General Mental Health

After the initial telephone consultation, you have time to decide if you would like to engage in treatment. The first session is spent gathering information around your current difficulties and any relevant history so I can fully understand what you are experiencing and the contributing  factors that have led you to engage in therapy. This also helps us decide on the most appropriate treatment for you, how many sessions we are likely to have, and how we can measure progress and change.

My aim is to help you develop an understanding about your difficulties and enable you to find ways to move forward, helping you become unstuck. We will work collaboratively to identify your strengths and complement these with effective psychological skills and strategies that work for your needs.  Therapy is not a “one size fits all” and no two people are the same: I will use my knowledge, multi-disciplinary training and wide range of psychological skills and techniques to help you to reach your unique treatment goals.
